Kodak Bantam Special Camera
(1936-1948)
A beautiful well-constructed art deco styled camera, this camera came with either of two shutter types, depending on when it was originally purchased. The more common of the two is the Compur Rapid shutter made between 1936-1940. The other, less common, is a Supermatic shutter made between 1941-1948. Both used the Kodak Anastigmat Ektar f/2 lens. Book values for the two different shutter types varies. The Compur-Rapid shutter: $200-$300. The Supermatic shutter: $300-$450. You can add 50% more if it has the original box and instructions.
